Turn around (to face away from the locker) and run to the far right corner of the room. Turn left and walk along, hugging the wall, to the metal locker against the wall below the control room (marked 'L' in the diagram). Run straight across the room to the doorway with the swipe-card lock (marked 'S' in the diagram) below the balcony. This diagram shows the layout of this area. If you keep an eye on this shadow, you can usually jump out of the way in time. Also, the claw casts a circular shadow on the floor before it descends.
